Supporting Nature: Our Commitment to Eden Reforestation Projects

As part of our partnership with Good and Mojo, we are committed to providing clean energy to off-grid communities and taking part in humanitarian initiatives in collaboration with the WakaWaka Foundation.

The Track Record of Eden Reforestation Projects

Transformation in Madagascar: 9 April 2008 vs 9 April 2020. A striking view of the impact of reforestation on Madagascar's landscape over the years.

With more than 977 million trees planted and protected, Eden Reforestation Projects have set an impressive record in their field. Spread across 280 project sites in 10 different countries, these projects cover a vast area and make a significant contribution to preserving our environment.

The social impact of these projects is just as remarkable, with more than 14,800 employees earning fair wages. Each employee is not only a key player in the reforestation mission but also an agent of change in their own community.

With a presence at more than 280 project sites and a commitment to environmental and social sustainability, Eden Reforestation Projects continue to be a success story in the global fight against deforestation and climate change.

Our goal is to help 20,000 families by 2030!

In our move towards a circular economy, design and materials play a crucial role in reducing our environmental impact. We support local craftsmanship and its way of life, and our B2B customers have also joined our "carbon positive" initiative.

Since 2019, we have been partners of Eden Reforestation Projects.

Indeed, for every light sold, a tree will be planted and a solar-powered lamp will be provided to people who do not always have access to electricity.

With 8,250 families already helped and 150,000 trees planted, BE SHINE & GOOD AND MOJO are more motivated than ever to contribute to the wellbeing of people and the planet, while keeping our customers happy.

Join our journey! Our goal is to plant 500,000 trees by 2030.

Mozambique

Most people run away from forest fires. Our reforestation project teams, committed to the long-term health of the forest they have planted, run towards them, even when wearing shorts and flip-flops rather than what we would consider standard firefighting equipment.

More than 776 million trees grown, planted and protected.

More than 11,700 employees earn fair wages. When crabs ate our propagules, killing the seeds before they could grow, our reforestation project team in Mozambique worked with Brazil to find a creative solution.

Kenya

Would you rather navigate through hyena territory or walk through python-infested bush? It is not a question most people have to answer during a typical working day. However, our reforestation project teams face this kind of choice every week.

More than 80 million trees grown, planted and protected.

More than 900 employees earn fair wages.

Indonesia

Working in some of the most remote and least developed regions of Indonesia, with limited mobile and internet coverage, our teams overcome communication obstacles by climbing trees and sailing to other islands to provide planting updates.

More than 33 million trees grown, planted and protected.

More than 350 employees earn fair wages.

Nepal

More than half of our workforce is made up of women, and for many it is their first opportunity for regular employment. From running nurseries to planting seedlings, these women are overcoming gender inequality in their country.

More than 12 million trees grown, planted and protected.

More than 380 employees earn fair wages.

In conclusion,

Every purchase of a light from the Good and Mojo collection is much more than a simple purchase.

It is a commitment to our planet and to those who need light!

Whether you are looking for a bedside lamp, a table lamp, a desk lamp, a rattan, bamboo or fabric pendant light, or even a ceiling light, our collection offers a variety of styles and materials to suit every taste and every lighting need.

Every light purchased means a tree planted and a lamp given to those living in conditions where electricity is not always available!

Make an enlightened, sustainable choice by opting for a Good and Mojo light, and help to brighten lives and preserve our precious planet.
